Do you have a trip planned?" You might ask yourself. And my answer is yes! I'm going on a trip to France next week with my high school and we'll make a one-day visit to Paris. Enjoy the post!

1- General information

Paris, located in the north-centre of France, is the capital and largest city of the country. Moreover, with 2.2 million inahbitants in the urban area, it's the most populous city in the country. Taken into account the metropolitan area too, the city's population reaches to 12 million people, which is almost the 20% of France's population.
Founded over 2,000 years ago, Paris has been one of Europe's major centres of finance, commerce, fashion, arts and science since the 17th century.

The icon of the city is undoubtedly the Eiffel Tower, a world-famous methalic tower built for the 1889 Paris International Exhibition. Located, next to the River Seine, it's a great place to have a walk either walking or on a tourist boat.

Another representative building of the city is Notre Dame's Cathedral, an arquitectural masterpiece and one of the most beautiful representations of the Gothic style in Europe.

3- People
About one out of five Paris' residents were born out of France. What does that mean? That means Paris is a great multicultural city in which hundreds of different languages are spoken daily and is a great place to male Friends from all over the world. Nevertheless, that also has a major drawback: an important percentage of the population are French with Arabic antecessors and many terrorists have come out of that minority. However, we have to be very respectuous towards other people because that doesn't mean at all Arabic or Muslims are terrorists.

4- Food
Being the capital city of the most famous country all over the world in terms of cuisine, Paris offers a wide variety of the most typical French foods.

Croque Monsieur might  not seem different to an ordinary ham and cheese sandwich, but if it's cooked properly, on the oven or on the frying pan and grilled, it will be much more tastier.
